 Dr. Bob Bender has been our pastor since September 2003. He and his wife, and greatest supporter, Beverly, have three married children, each of whom is actively involved in ministry. First Baptist Church is the first Colorado pastorate for this Oklahoma native. He has two degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Pastor Bender has been in ministry since graduating from High School.


 

Matt Crowe came to serve at FBCBF in 2008. He has been serving students for the past 10 years. Matt was born and raised in Georgia and is a passionate Bulldogs fan. Matt has served churches in Georgia, Texas, and the British Isles. Matt is in love with is beautiful wife Kristen. They are the proud parents of a daughter and son. The great joy of his life is hanging out with students and serving the body of Christ.


 

Glynn Tate is originally from Washington state, but has spent the last 20 years serving in the U.S. Air Force.  He has served in worship ministry since moving to the Colorado Springs area in 2002 and has a deep passion for serving the body of Christ while glorifying God and leading His people closer to Him through music.   God has richly blessed Glynn through his wonderful wife Michele and daughters Kaylynn and Marlee.  In addition to family and music, he enjoys hunting, fishing, motorcycles, mountain biking and just about anything where he can get out and delight in God’s creation.

 

 


Matt Morton was born and raised in Colorado Springs. He has been serving students since 2000 and has served at FBCBF since 2005. He and his beautiful bride Trisha have a son and daughter. He enjoys the outdoors, the Broncos, and the never ending Ultimate Frisbee games with his students. He is passionate about helping students and their families grow closer to God and to each other.


Kelly Gandy was born in Kansas but came to Colorado Springs as soon as she could.  After graduating from Doherty High school she attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri where she rcvd her BS in Psychology and minoring in Child and Family studies and Disciplship.  She met her husband Bill on the marching band field at SBU. They have four children, Morgan, Mollie, Matthew, Madison. After living in Kansas and Washington state,  the Gandy's moved to Colorado Springs in 2005 as North American Mission Board missionaries to work with the Pikes Peak Baptist Association with college students.  They joined FBCBF in September 2005.   Kelly's hobbies include whatever her kids are doing, Facebook stalking, and cooking!
